A recent national survey shows that despite progress, adults living with Type 1 Diabetes still have difficulties with the impact that the disease has on their lives and more than 70 percent of endocrinologists and adults with T1D say that recent advances give them the hope of a cure.
More than one million Americans live with type 1 diabetes and many more cases are diagnosed each year. But as David Wylie reports, there are signs of optimism in the treatment of this disease.
