Lifestyle modification has a significant role in weight management. A perfect lifestyle will make a person perfectly fit. People are now used to sedentary lifestyle where they will wake up in the morning, have breakfast, sit in their car or go to office, sit there in front of the system, eat from there also, come back home, eat in front of television itself and sleep. This is not the routine that should be followed. Dedicated physical exercise is must if one wants to maintain the weight or health as such. Sedentary lifestyle causes many of the diseases like diabetes mellitus, obesity. In order to avoid all these a good lifestyle modification is essential. A perfect lifestyle starts with waking up early in the morning for which you sleep early at night. A perfect lifestyle begins with waking up early in the morning and ends with sleeping early getting around 7 to seven and a half hours of sleep. There should be a gap of one and a half to two hours in between the dinner and the sleep which will ensure proper digestion an good sleep. Sleeping during daytime and sleeping immediately after sleep should be avoided. In between you can take power naps but sleeping is contraindicated. Essentially around 45 minutes to one hour should be dedicated to physical exercises. It should include jogging, walking, praanyama and these can be clubbed with the gym workouts also. This will keep up the required enthusiasm and the health for the whole day. So physical exercise is the most important part in the lifestyle modification for maintaining the proper weight. A good massage or a gentle massage on a daily basis would be very good along with physical exercise. Regular detoxification through panchakarma if included in the lifestyle modification is also very good in maintaining the proper weight.
