Madhumeh or diabetes mellitus is a very common problem nowadays. If we take a look at the global data, about 300 million people have diabetes. Madhumeh is made of two words Madhu and meh. Madhu means honey and meh means micturition which means when you start urinating that looks like honey and is sweet. In modern sciences too, the words diabetes (to urinate) mellitus (honey like) mean the same thing. India is known to be the capital of diabetes mellitus. 1 in 5 people suffer from Diabetes mellitus. It is a lifestyle illness rather a multi systematic disease. Diabetes is a silent killer. It affects the entire body, from the toe to the tip of his hair, which hollows his body just like the termites eat and hollow a tree. Diabetes does not save even a single organ is our eyes, our kidneys. Basically it's a life-threatening disease and it's like a spouse we can not separate from. We have to be our own doctor and technician and approach it in a very disciplined way, only then can we handle it. Some great personalities as the captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Wasim Akram, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Dr. Ambedkar all suffered from Diabetes. So, it's nothing to worry about.
