A good night's rest is fundamental to your health, and many things can go wrong if you do not get enough. Lack of sleep can contribute to obesity, diabetes, inflammation, heart disease and more. The minimum recommended amount for adults is 7 hours (this may also vary from person to person). However, a third of Americans lack sleep and, on average, black Americans record the least amount of z.
African Americans already face great disparities in health, and not getting enough sleep can aggravate those problems. By examining the sleep gap and addressing the root causes, we can also address other inequalities in the US. UU
