This is the first in a series on research into low carbohydrate diets. The glycemic index is the impact on blood sugar by food. Glycemic load measures the impact of a meal. The daily load of glycaemia would cover and totalize all foods during the day.
Nutritionist interviewers use standardized software (NDSR – Nutrition Information System for Research) to find matches with food. After the food pairings are made, the glycemic index must be calculated. This is done using other standard databases (the International Table of Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load Values and online databases of the University of Sydney).
After finding these data, the calculations must be made. Then you should calculate the frequency and amount of food eaten. The findings were blinded and replicated. It was found that repeated calculations had a high correlation.
