To prevent type 2 diabetes, it is important to take care of your weight and be careful what you eat. Foods high in sugar or fat can cause insulin sensitivity, which triggers type 2 diabetes. Here are the types of foods you should avoid to keep diabetes at risk.
Meat and fish rich in fat.
Some varieties of meat and fish are naturally high in fat and loaded with more calories and fat when fried. These foods include bacon, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, fried eggs, steak sandwiches, fried fish sandwich, and submarine sandwiches and burgers. Sugar does not directly cause diabetes, but excessive consumption influences the level of sugar in the blood. Subsequently, the excess sugar is stored in your body as fat and causes weight gain.
If you are a cola person, just be careful with the amount you consume. Carbonated beverages not only have a higher sugar content, but are also high in calories. 12 oz of a carbonated drink includes almost 140 calories. If you give yourself too much or too often to the tails / sodas, you're risking having type 2 diabetes. Carbonated beverages have empty calories, so do not add anything to the level of nutrients in your body.
Refined or processed grain products are low in nutritional and fiber content, but have equivalent calories to whole grain foods. Processed foods are also dense in saturated acids and trans fatty acids, therefore, they should be avoided. For the prevention of type 2 diabetes, avoid white bread, buns, bakery products such as cakes, cookies and cakes, polished rice and low fiber cereal.
