ICYMI, Amber Portwood is expecting her second child with her boyfriend Andrew Glennon, an announcement that surprised Teen Mom fans, but is now opening up about her complications during pregnancy. The second chance of the reality star for fatherhood seems to have been a breeze so far, but in a new development for the program, the 27-year-old revealed that she has gestational diabetes.
"My morning sickness has gotten worse, so I went to the doctor and found out that I have gestational diabetes," Amber said. "I feel like I'd like to go to sleep now," he told Andrew. "I have to eat some fruit or something, maybe my blood sugar is low."
Immediately, Andrew gave him a cup of fruit and said, "I'm going to look for some diabetes diets right now for you." What a good boyfriend!
Fortunately, Amber understood the condition early, but she is still frustrated. "I really can not enjoy my pregnancy that much," she continued in the video, adding that "she always feels tired, always feeling useless." She concluded: "This pregnancy, I do not know if it is because I am older, it has definitely been much harder".
Many people did not even know that Amber and her ex-fiance, Matt Baier, separated before revealing that she was pregnant. However, it seems that he has learned some lessons from his tumultuous relationship, such as keeping his finances "completely separate" from the man he is dating. "With Matt, we had joint accounts, business together, things like that, and I learned my lesson," he told Us Weekly recently. "My money is my money, and when we are together, we can help each other and be up to each other and take care of this child, but you know, Andrew is very good at knowing that we both have limits on certain things"
As for a ring? According to reports, Amber hoped to commit before the delivery date of her baby. "If Amber and Andrew are engaged, then both of them are quiet about it, and there is no doubt that he would love Andrew to propose," a source told Hollywood Life. "Amber is crazy about him, she would love to do official things before the baby arrives." Only time will tell!
