Frequent questions

Q1 Why does my child need supplements?

Ans. Your child needs supplements to fill the nutritional gap in their diet because children are small but their nutritional needs are GREAT. Because they are in the growth and development phase, they need nutrition in adequate amounts, too.

1. Children are very fussy

2. Change the lifestyle of both parents and children.

3. Availability of convenient, tasty and quick meals.

4. The quality of the food available is doubtful, it may be contaminated with pesticides, insecticides, etc.

5. The cooking methods extract the nutrients from the food (boil them, fry them). This creates nutritional gaps in the child's diet and, therefore, the child must fill it with supplementation.

Q2 There are so many different vitamins and minerals, what is important for my son?

Ans. Remember, children are small, but their nutritional needs are GREAT. It is important that children have nutritious foods enriched with fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, fish, etc. since they are excellent natural sources of different types of essential nutrients. However, despite your efforts to give your child a healthy and nutritious diet, there are gaps as mentioned above. Besides that, the requirement of certain vitamins and minerals is high, such as calcium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B and phytonutrients, which are not completely satisfied with food or with only a multivitamin / mineral supplement. Therefore, to meet the daily requirements of these nutrients, your child needs different vitamins and minerals. For example, if your child does not drink milk (which is an excellent source of calcium, needed to strengthen bones and teeth), a calcium supplement is needed. It is advisable to have more than 5 servings of fruits and vegetables of varied colors every day. Does our son take that? If not, then supplementation with concentrated fruits and vegetables is necessary.

Q3 Why does my child need a single vitamin / mineral supplement along with a multivitamin / mineral supplement?

Answer: A single multivitamin and multimineral supplement provides most of the vitamins and minerals in certain amounts, but not for all the nutrients in the desired amount. As for calcium, iron and vitamin C. Children need much larger amounts for these unique vitamins and minerals and that can only be supplemented with these specific individual supplements. Therefore, along with a multivitamin and multimineral supplement, you also need to give children individual nutrient supplements for the proper balance and for optimal health of their child.

Q4 Is supplementation safe for children?

Ans. Supplements from reputable companies manufactured under GMP with experience and expertise in nutrition are safe.

Q5 How old should my child be before I start giving him something?

Ans. Nutrilite Kids Chewable Range is recommended for children over 4 years old. Nutrilite Kids Drink is recommended for children 2 years and older.

Q6 If my child has diabetes or some other medical condition, can he take these supplements?

Ans. If your child has any ailment such as juvenile diabetes or such a serious medical condition, it is best to consult the child's / family's doctor before administering any supplement.

Q7 Does my child need to see a doctor before giving any of these products?

Ans. These are food supplements, therefore, it is not necessary to consult a doctor. However, if the child has any medical condition or is under some type of medication, it is best to consult the doctor before administering supplements.

Q8 How to help my child take so many supplement tablets in a day?

Ans. It is advisable to distribute the supplementation regime throughout the day along with meals, such as breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner.

Children suffering from any medical condition are advised to consult their doctor.
