Our diet, the standard American diet or SAD is making us sick. It is causing us to gain weight, become overweight and obese, and is causing insulin resistance syndrome and metabolic syndrome. The last two conditions are sometimes called prediabetes. This is an important risk factor for a heart attack and stroke. So, our diet, the SAD diet is making us sick. I recommend the ketogenic diet. This is a healthy diet. It will make you lose weight when you reach your lean body weight. The reason for following this low carb diet is not to lose weight to look better but to be healthier to avoid obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart attack and stroke.
