Facilitators of the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and participants of the New Bethel CME Church share their experiences in the program and how it is impacting the Rochester community.
The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a group program based on evidence on nutrition and physical activity designed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). . DPP has been shown to be successful in preventing the onset of type 2 diabetes in prediabetics when it is accompanied by moderate weight loss and increased physical activity.
