Dr. Christopher E Ramsden is a dietary researcher at the NIH in the USA. UU
In April 2017, he published a new analysis of the MN Coronary Experiment. Here is the link to the study:

This was a rare dietary study, since it was a randomized clinical trial. They controlled the diet of 9423 men and women in nursing homes and patients in psychiatric hospitals.
Corn oil and polyunsaturated margarine were replaced by current animal fat standards.
The study groups did have a 13.8% lower cholesterol. Random probability less than 1 in 1000.
However, those in that same study group with lower cholesterol had a 22% higher risk of dying, mainly from heart attack and stroke. The random probability is also less than 1 in 1000.

About Dr. Brewer: Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Physician. After seeing too many patients who died from early heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. He went on to execute the postgraduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine at Hopkins. From there, he made a career in practice and administration of preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His last role in this area was that of Medical Director of Premise, which has more than 500 primary care / prevention clinics. He was also the medical director of MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a clinic for the prevention of heart attacks, strokes and diabetes.
At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, disability, cancer and Alzheimer's prevention. We found a large amount of type 2 diabetes not diagnosed. The treatment of unrecognized risk factors such as diabetes allows risk reduction. We provide genetic tests, images, laboratories and telemedicine options of the latest generation. We serve patients who have already experienced an event and those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Our team of senior doctors includes internationally recognized leaders in the research and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, preventive medicine and well-being. We also provide preventive medicine through telemedicine technology in more than 30 states. Contact Dr. Brewer at or visit
