All the foods on your list have a low glycemic index and provide key nutrients that lack the typical Western diet, such as:

If you prefer black and red beans, pintos, whites or there are no more nutritious than food legumes. They have a high fiber content that gives approximately 1/3 of your daily requirement in only ½ cup, and are good sources of magnesium and potassium.
